About
A Little Word About me
made by a student, for students
Learning to play piano can be a challenging task. I know all about struggle, as I have been in the same situation as many other pianists. Stuck behind the keys, not knowing how to progress. It’s a difficult and daunting task. However, with the right motivation from the right person, anything is possible.
At Calgary Piano Lessons, my main goal is to make the piano experience enlightening, enjoyable, and wonderful. Playing this instrument is a gift, and I intend on making full use of it through fun pieces, challenging goals, and most importantly, enjoying the experience.
My Performances
This was my performance of June (Barcarolle) by Tchaikovsky at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. I enjoyed learning this piece and being able to perform it and I am thankful to the church for letting me showcase my skills. My goal is to allow my students to do the same with pieces which they are passionate about.
Along with my most recent performance, I have had many which I am proud of. I participated in the Brandon Festival of Arts twice, once in which I was awarded a scholarship for my musical ability. I confidently say that my students will have an excellent role model for performing their pieces in both a competitive and relaxed sphere.
The piece which I played in the video was a level 9 RCM repertoire. I have been fond of it for quite some time, and being able to finally play it to other people has been an experience like no other. I firmly believe that any student who is passionate about a piece they like should get the chance to perform it and experience the feeling which does not come from anywhere else. I look forward to showcasing more performances which I will have the privilege to execute.
